{"id":3815,"date":"2019-10-29T10:32:40","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T00:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/?p=3815"},"modified":"2019-10-29T10:32:41","modified_gmt":"2019-10-29T00:02:41","slug":"livetiles-asxlvt-surges-on-latest-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/livetiles-asxlvt-surges-on-latest-results\/","title":{"rendered":"LiveTiles (ASX:LVT) surges on latest results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Software company <strong>LiveTiles<\/strong> (ASX:LVT), a developer of &#8220;intelligent workplace solutions&#8221;, has seen shares climb further away from a recent 14-month lows as the market welcomed the group&#8217;s latest quarterly report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As previously announced, the company&#8217;s annual recurring revenue (ARR) climbed to $42.9 million in the September quarter, a modest 7% improvement from the preceeding quarter, but a full 131% over the year and an 8.6x lift from two years ago. Given LiveTiles has seen a near 70% lift in customer numbers, this shows that the average spend per customer is also growing well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-1024x645.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3817\" width=\"768\" height=\"484\" srcset=\"https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-1024x645.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-300x189.jpg 300w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-768x484.jpg 768w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-800x504.jpg 800w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-670x422.jpg 670w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR-45x28.jpg 45w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-ARR.jpg 1126w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Importantly, customer cash receipts grew 252% from the previous corresponding quarter, coming in at $8.5 million. This is the 4th consecutive quarter of record customer cash received. Still, the business remains cash flow negative overall, with operating cash outflows of $5.3 million for the quarter (including a $3.8 million tax incentive). Nevertheless, this is an improvement on the $6.2 million cash burn from the June quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Underlying operating expenses came in above previous guidance, at $16.4 million for the quarter, as the company made additional investments to support growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With LiveTiles sitting on around $56.9 million in cash, it has enough reserves to fund operations for a good while yet. Hopefully, enough to see the business transition to a cash flow positive position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LiveTiles said that it expected &#8220;another strong year of customer and revenue growth in FY20&#8221; and has previously outlined an aspirational target of $100 million in ARR by FY2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-1024x419.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3818\" width=\"768\" height=\"314\" srcset=\"https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-1024x419.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-300x123.jpg 300w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-768x315.jpg 768w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-800x328.jpg 800w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-1200x491.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-670x274.jpg 670w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target-45x18.jpg 45w, https:\/\/strawman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/LVT-target.jpg 1592w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>With shares trading on an ARR multiple of 5.8x, or ~13x last year&#8217;s sales, the market is certainly factoring in a good deal of growth.
