With a little over a week before the end of the year, I think our little investment community can safely declare success for 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Strawman Index<\/a>, which tracks the most widely held stocks across member portfolios, smashed it out of the park with a 23.5% return<\/strong> for\u00a0the 12 months through to December 19. Handily outpacing what was a very decent market average of 14.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the more popular standouts include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stealth Global<\/strong> (ASX:SGI) — up 100%
Catapult Sports <\/strong>(ASX:CAT) — up 160%
XRF Ltd (ASX:XRF)<\/strong> — up 58%
Smart Parking <\/strong>(ASX:SPZ) — up 152%
Botanix Pharmaceuticals<\/strong> (ASX:BOT) — up 127%
Vaneck Bitcoin ETF<\/strong> (ASX:VBTC) — up 52% (since the June launch)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And many more besides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, not every top-ranked stock did well, with Audinate<\/strong> (ASX:AD8) and Laserbond <\/strong>(ASX:LBL) being two that defied the broader trend. But overall, it was hard to complain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also held no less than 67 live meetings<\/strong> with various CEOs & investors in 2024. Our hope is that these allow you to get a deeper understanding of some of the opportunities out there, and we’re looking forward to connecting you with more insiders in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, of course, we continued to see loads of great content being delivered by you, our valued members. There are too many to list here, but a quick scan of our Members page will reveal who the heavy hitters are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the corporate news flow all but drying up at this time of year, we’re planning on taking a bit of a breather over the holiday period. And we hope you likewise get the opportunity to step back from things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active investing can take its toll — emotionally and intellectually — so it’s important to allow the batteries time recharge. Frankly, what’s the point of being a (part) owner in the means of production if you can’t ever afford to disconnect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
