Pinned straw:
I don't mind this announcement @edgescape - although I only own CMM here on SM at this point not IRL. Paul Criddle has only been COO of CMM since May this year, but his form at Roxgold (in Canada) seems consistent with the calibre of people CMM has at the top of the company. Criddle built up Roxgold as CDO and then COO for 8 years from 2013 to 2021 when Fortune Silver acquired Roxgold for CA$1.1 Billion.

Prior to Roxgold, Paul Criddle held senior roles in Perseus Mining (PRU), developing the Edikan and Sissingue Projects in West Africa
Also, the promotion of Tony Hinkey to COO (from GM Ops for 4 years @ CMM) - due to Criddle moving from COO to CEO - is another good move, as Hinkley is part of the OG crew that built up Equigold through to the Lihir takeover and then was part of the the start-up and early development of RRL - like the other core management and board members at CMM. Those Equigold & early Regis lads all seem to have ended up at either CMM or EMR and both companies have excellent track records of project development through to profitable production on-time and on-or-under budget.
Lastly, the promotion of Shane Clark from GM Business Development to Chief Development Officer (CDO) seems more like simply a change of job title, so no real change there.
In summary, seems fairly straightforward and no reason to think CMM are in any trouble from this announcement. Still got heaps of experience there.
