Hey @Travisty, that's neatly laid out, man! I did my first DCF last weekend, too. Interestingly, my valuation was around half yours. Just goes to show that valuation is mostly about our assumptions and the stories we tell ourselves :) Not sure if you have, but take a look at YouTube vids by Aswath Damodaran. Cheers!

Thanks @SayWhatAgain . I appreciate the feedback and so glad to hear you had a totally different DCF outcome to mine. I'll be sure to check it out! As you said they're only as good as the inputs and story we tell ourselves about the uncertain future. The best thing is they can always be adjusted as new information and numbers are released!

I have read and watched a little bit of Aswarth and know he's the king of valuation. He wrote the little book of valuation right?.... My DCF model is a hybrid of various thoughts I've taken from investors like Joel Greenblatt, Monish Prabrai, etc. and many of the great investors on strawman. Time will tell how outrageous my projections were. Although I hope it's more Approx Right than Precisely Wrong!

Thanks @Travisty - that was beautifully laid out. I, too, hold AIM but am not the best at DCFs, so will watch in the hope others who are will chime in.

Thanks @Strawman & @Clio ! Excited to be officially apart of this amazing community. I might add my valuation notes into a Straw so they can be viewed a little easier. For some reason the valuation box made the content small and difficult to read.

Also, A quick note on the NPAT growth figure I stated of 146%pa. This is incorrect, as the growth between FY24 & FY25E is a huge leap as it's a loss to a profit. So a better reflection of the growth estimate, and PE multiple applied, would be from FY25 NPAT Est. of $4m to FY29 of $43.4m. This would result an average NPAT growth of 83%p.a.

Again if any calculations are incorrect, please point them out to me. Cheers!

Hey @Strawman, A quick questions regarding formatting of content. How do you copy written content from a word doc. into a post/straw without the format turning out horribly small, like that of my valuation notes above? I decided to use word first so that I could save my thoughts as I wrote them, then copy and pasted them across. I'm sure someone has asked this before, but are you able to save a note/thought in a straw or forum and then come back to it before posting?

In terms of the formatting issues @Travisty, you can either copy the actual text by clicking and holding down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse over the text, then right-clicking on that highlighted text and choosing "copy", rather than taking a screenshot of the text, and then paste that text in, and if that doesn't work, try "Paste as plain text" which comes up as an option below "Paste" when I right-click.

You may have to copy and paste the text separately to images however, so each image may need to be copied using "copy image" rather than just "copy" but the text can be copied using the plain "copy" option. When there are a lot of images, this can become time-consuming, but I have found it's the only way to ensure that all of the images end up in your straw / valuation / forum post / reply.

Regarding straws and valuations, you can make those private, which is a toggle switch at the bottom of the text field box, so down the bottom to the left of the "Save" button which is coloured orange and may instead say "Post" or "Add Valuation" - so the toggle switch you're looking for here is called "Privacy Settings" and if you toggle that to "On" it will be private, and "Off" makes it public, then you can edit and then resave a private straw or valuation as much as you like and nobody can see it but you, then when you're happy with the final version, go back in and edit it again and this time toggle "Private" to "Off" to make it public, and then save it one more time and everyone else will then be able to see it. The bad news is that this feature does not exist for forum posts or forum replies like the one I'm typing right now - forum posts and replies can't be private, however the good news is you can go back and edit forum posts and replies as much as you want without affecting the "like" count. To be clear, the "like" count resets to zero every time you edit a valuation or straw, but not when you edit a forum post or forum reply, so you can go back and fix up errors such as spelling mistakes or gramatical errors any time you like within forums.

Hope that helps.
