Keen to compile a list on SM of ASX names that will stand to benefit from the weak Aussie dollar but are not really impacted by the tariffs?

which companies comes to mind?

Cheers

Difficult as most that benefit are exporters which goes into trade.

So I'm guessing gold miners would be one - of course all up a lot. Perhaps Cochlear/ CSL / ResMed / SHL as they are excluded from the tariffs too.

Interesting. Probably a question of degrees, rather than absolutes.

Something like CSL comes to mind. US is a big market, but lots of revenue comes from Asia and Europe. And what it does sell to the US is largely discretionary.

Resource companies probably fit the bill. Price their goods in USD, with much of the product going to places like China and Japan.

I'm sure there are others.

Not that I'd base a trade on that alone.

FX is always tricky. Remember that $A is economically sensitive. It goes up in good times and reverses, so that means commodities are dicey when $A falls—usually.

So you are looking at stable income streams. There are the translation benefits and the transactional benefits, being those with o/s earnings in the first instance and those that get an operational advantage from a lower $A. So US income streams that are not economically sensitive, and there are not many with a $A operating base. Healthcare comes to mind. then you have tariffs on top as well. value value expsorters, where tariffs of 10% don't make much of a dent? PWH?
