Interesting discussion that distracted me from the market shenanigans. @Strawman 's comment, 'Value is Value is Value' was a good reminder and might be my new trading motto (once the wailing and gnashing of teeth is under control again).
Further: I listened to the podcast 'The Culture Matters' episode 857 with Jordan Cvetanovski that was mentioned by @Arena42. It was really good, my big takeaway was the way he analyses companies. Using ‘Cashflow’ as a common metric across company types, he wants a company that is winning, and a company is growing (profits, market share etc.). He also likes to meet the companies and ask big picture story questions (much like @Strawman). Definitely worth a listen.
