Pinned straw:
So Adelaide-based Prophecy sought more scale and refined product mix (and the ability to put AI on every slide of their decks going forward) and after an exhaustive search found the perfect partner in the Silicone Valley of the south - Adelaide. Cynics might say "how convenient". They might point to the prevalence of merging CEOs sharing a pickleball club. They might wonder just how many bottles of Barossa red had been imbued before this deal was mused.
Not me. I fully embrace differences in the merging companies as diversification and similarities as synergies. It doesn't bother me that I've heard the Complexica CEO try to explain his business and left less enlightened than I started. I welcome the introduction of co-CEOs going forwards. Why stop there - let's have 6! Of course you'll want to name the merged company Complexica. Customers love complexity.
At least they'll have a CFO now...
