Not exactly a highly liquid company. Most days I think a few thousand to tens of thousands of units trade hands.

This morning, 4 buy orders totally 5.5 million shares. ChatGPT:

Percentage of 88.8m shares (commsec shares outstanding):

(5,500,000 / 88,800,000) x 100 = 6.2% of the company

Identical size to Washington H Soul's position but could be a coincidence.

Quickly getting outside of my circle of competence, but simply a substantial holding changing hands?

Fair. Explains the trades yesterday. 5.6% of the company, not 6.2%.

WAM funds also sold out on the 14th, over 7 million shares.

Interested if this does actually influence volume traded in the future. Not that it stopped WAM building a position for three funds.

Another large trade this morning.

1.2 million shares or ~1.35% of the company changing hands.

At the moment, if it’s confirmed to be more insider selling, I’m just thinking of it as sensible selling down to realise some gains after many years for some of the management and board.

There is constrained liquidity and honestly I’d like a larger holding but when ~ 10-15k is traded daily, you could seriously struggle trading it in a reasonable time frame.

Change in Substantial shareholder notice at the end of April.

Washington H Soul Pattinson lifting their stake from 9.49% to 11.62%

Last 6 months, selling small parcels above $4 and then switched to buying again below $3.8 (which was the last capital raise price).

By no means a meaningful shareholding for Soul Patts, but positive support for LGI to have a high calibre and long-term investor. Maybe of note, Vik Bansal is on both boards.
