Same query again this morning "Which ASX ticker has the biggest surge in TikTok buy mentions in the last 24 hours"?

Same answer today TTT. It will be interesting to see if it gets another bounce today.

For anyone still interested:

So TTT did no good today, it is down 2.04% for the day.

DRO was down 0.56% for the day and DOW down 0.68% for the day. So other than the initial bump there was no prolonged trend up as of yet.

I did the same query and got TTT again so I enquired "Which ASX ticker, besides TTT, has the biggest surge in TikTok buy mentions in the last 24 hours"? response below:

Let's see how AXE shapes up tomorrow.

So AXE bumped up 5.56% today, that's only 1.5 cents though, so not hard to get a bump.

For anyone following along, I've done the same query today, "Which ASX ticker has the biggest surge in TikTok buy mentions in the last 24 hours"? The response is below:

Let's see how TTT goes in Monday morning trade.

@tomsmithidg - that's fascinating. I wouldn't have said there was that much price momentum, but it was on a slow increase, and sure enough, TTT jumped out of the blocks this morning, up 4.26%. For TTT, that's not that big a deal, but it is notable nevertheless. Especially as they've yet to report. Should be later this week.

Thought I'd have a quick look at the others from last week too:

No further run up on DOW after that last jump, and DRO only up another 0.28% after Friday's bump.

G'day Strawpeople and a special hello to the Strawmen who made it to the Brisvegas catchup last night and suffered through me banging on about this already. I saw a video, sadly I can't find it now, where they were talking about a bloke who was trawling Tiktok and identifying the most talked about stocks and was 'smashing' the market by getting in on those 'most talked about stocks'. I was noticing a trend upwards in big dividend paying stock values recently (Banks etc.) and I remembered that story and thought I'd try AI to see if there was chatter on Tiktok or X (Twitter) that preceded or indicated this move. I started with the following prompt in Perplexity:

"Does chatter on Tiktok indicate a big switch to dividend paying shares on the ASX?" below is part of the response:

I asked "What asx shares are in the ETF VHY?"

Then I got more specific and it got interesting:

I asked "Which ASX stock is generating the most Twitter buy mentions today?" and I got this:

7080b668f316159b76ef7c91b9b72d8e73b761.png

So I went to CMC and had a look at that stock, this is what happened to the share price today:

This morning I asked the following: "Which ASX ticker has the biggest surge in TikTok buy mentions in past 24 hours?"

This is what happened this morning:

There might be something in this? More research and updates to follow.
