As Piastri attempted to swoop around the outside of Max Verstappen, Norris snuck up on the inside and moved alongside his teammate as they raced towards the second corner.
Norris then found himself in a worrisome position as he had to take evasive action to avoid slamming into the back of Verstappen.
But as he did, the Brit jolted his car to the right and bumped Piastri off the racing line and dropped him back down to fourth.
The incident left Norris with damage to his front wing, but it left Piastri seeing red and he didn’t hold back over the team radio.
