First patients treated in PARADIGM trial

The first patients (note the plural!) have now received DurAVR in the paradigm trial. Now with as few as only 998 more to go. This is great news:

Unfortunately, the company is in another of couple days of no ASX trading finalising the cap raise. May see a bump in Nasdaq AVR tonight. Handbrake probably won’t really come off until the FDA IDE announced.

It’s hard to keep up today. Been about three other ASX announcements, the upshot of which is that Anteris is back ASX trading — and down (shrugs shoulders). It might take the market a few days or weeks to digest this, I’d suggest it is distracted by the cap raise. Things are tracking very well in my opinion. No one is buying my shares at these prices that is for certain.

The news was announced at about 6:30pm New York time a few hours after close of trading. Got a short period there of some big price movement but I’ve learned not to read too much into after hours trading. However, there was definite heavy volume for the day — with 3 million shares changing hands that is the equivalent of one fifth of all ASX CDIs on issue.

I think there is a re-rate afoot. It may just be a steady one rather than the more dramatic one I had envisaged. I suspect this is as low as it gets for a while.

Post FDA IDE approval I’d expect (or at least hope) to see some on-market purchases, or options exercised, by CEO Wayne Paterson ahead of the next big cap raise.
