I hope the new person can make a better go of it. But until there's some clear evidence of traction, i'm happy to be watching from the sidelines.
AVA was an awful investment for me, but I do take solace in (eventually) making the right decision to sell. Shouldve listend to the warnings of @Bear77 and others much sooner.
It's never fun locking in a large loss, but even after today's bounce they remain 33% below my sell price. Moreover, the funds were allocated to a far better investments. There's a lesson in that, that I repeat here for my own sake (as i need to reiterate it often):
If the thesis is broken, sell. Profit or loss is irrelevant. Your capital is far too valuable to leave stranded in an idea that has clearly failed to meet its promise. There will always be other fish in the sea, and the sooner you redeploy into something more worthy of your attention, the better off you’ll be.
