I was listening to @Strawman 's assertion (rant?) that one of the small banks in Australia could become a Big Bank, or at least massively increase its customer base by becoming the Bitcoin friendly bank. I chuckled at these banks refusing to reply to 'Internet Magic Bean Man' but then it occurred to me that taking BBC with a market cap of around $33million, a syndicate would only need to be able to put together about $17.2 million (allowing for a margin of error) to control over 50% of the bank and implement that transition. I'd imagine that here on Strawman, between our portfolios and SMSF's etc. that we would not struggle too hard to put together said syndicate. The main issue seems to be there is hardly any for sale on any given day.

Thoughts? Anyone want to buy a bank?
