Hoping someone can clarify this as I only caught the tail end of a news article this morning that in essence stated that the SA gov had placed a large order with a Swedish company for speed camera's etc...
As it is an expansion of an existing speed camera contract that Sensys Gatso had already, it is not a risk to ACE. ACE is solely doing distraction cameras in SA.
My understanding is that Gatso have won a contract earlier this year with SAPOL to replace of ageing fleet of fixed speed cameras across the state. The additional expansion is to include to help meet the budget bid for the new 30 new cameras that were expected to be rolled out across SA over the next 2 years.
