I’m a fellow Adelaidian as well. I haven’t seen any events set up yet from my 1.5 years on the platform, but I’d definitely be interesting in the networking and discussing ideas if you were to organise something.

i would just need to plan a little in advance so I can make sure that my wife is all good to look after the little one without my help

I can see the 1 message icon but it just refreshes and goes back to the portfolio screen after I click.

In case @Strawman is having a day off, I may be able to help @SudMav - when this has happened to me before, on my PC, I ran CCleaner and/or restarted my PC to clear the cache and the site then works OK. This also fixes an error when the newfeed won't feed past a set number of posts and straws.

If you are using a mobile device such a phone I'm not sure what the equivalent is, but reloading Strawman.com or the app with a fresh memory on your device seems to fix most errors. I'll send you a message now myself - see if it arrives.

Thanks @Bear77. I have tried all of the above and both my phone and computer and neither is working. I can still receive/read DMs from other people on the forum. I'll wait to see what Andrew has to say

No - there is definitely a problem. When I click "Direct Message" from your home page or other members' home pages, it opens up a message diaglogue box and allows me to compose and then send a DM, but when I click on "Direct Message" from @Lisa_Llama's home page, it just acts like a refresh button and refreshes her home page - so the issue that you are describing @SudMav seems to be confined to @Lisa_Llama's ability to receive messages and possibly have her messages received by others. So I've DM'd @Strawman to let him know there's an issue there.

Weird, but we'll get it sorted. Actually have been doing a bunch of stuff behind that scenes that should make bug fixes and new feature adds MUCH easier going forward. (I'm actually really excited to unveil a bunch of new stuff "soon").

In the meantime, I'm definitely encouraging of a SA meetup and happy to do what I can t help coordinate.

Whilst my DM issue is being sorted out, I've asked for an email to be forwarded to those of you who have responded to this thread. (If you're Adelaide based, but not in the thread & want to be included please make yourself known)

In the meantime, I'll throw out a couple of ideas. I'd like to suggest the CBD as a neutral location, and after normal business hours would suit me better. Alternatively, Mawson Lakes, or somewhere in the North outside of regular business hours works too.

Possible day/time:

A. Sunday 14th June 11:00am (Mawson Lakes)

B. Mon 15th June, 5:30pm (CBD)

C. Wed 17th - 5:30pm, (CBD)

D. Other - make a new suggestion.

We got it all sorted @Lisa_Llama -- it was something to do with the underscore in your username. Easy to fix, i'm just surprised it hadnt come up before!

Let us know if you still have any issues, but it should be good now.
