With the inevitable escalation of the trade wars on Friday and Trumps Twitter account doing it's best to bring down global markets, I'm curious to know how everyone goes about their market business on down weeks. Personally I've been keeping more cash in reserve in the last few months, have sold off a few shares where I think valuation has gone too far and topped up companies that have gone on sell. As much as no one likes seeing huge daily losses, I do see down weeks as opportunies when nothing has changed with the fundamentals of the company and provides an opportunity for a better entry point. Quite curious with Appen and Afterpay this week, both reporting on Thursday and will a good report still have the same impact if the market is bearish. See Jumbo as a recent example of how sentiment can influence the outcome.
