Hello all
I started this post to try learn a few things from fellow members. My original thesis was to play on stronger market sentiments and get in and out for a small day trade (that day due to reasons I did not get out). As it was the weekend I decided to research further and maybe grow my thesis (yes I realise a thesis creep but it's done). I realised I entered into a company that had some really strong growth and was on the verge of a cashflow +ve year. Therefore I ammended my thesis to turn my trade into an investment with my focus on following this company's growth into a year of cashflow positivity.
The recent announcements today indicate that all is on track and I thought I'd give a chance to try and forecast the next quarter. I know I could do a report but I wanted to start a forum post so hopefully people could help tell me what I've done wrong or right.
So firstly looking at the forecast for next quarter I took the past 4 quarters of data assumed that growth is linear and got a rate of 30% per quarter and a revenue of $4.6m. I added the outflows predicted (which from my viewing have normally been around correct or if not a bit below) and totalled that to -$3.8m. Therefore getting a cashflow of +$833k.
I know I've done a million assumptions and mistakes so just looking to learn and try get better.
Thanks in advance
