Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the investing game, just wondering if there are any tips on getting started? How do you find stocks to invest in, and how do you determine if a stock is cheap or expensive?

Hi Jlazzara90, I was in a similar situation having just started in March from knowing absolutely nothing. I had to figure out what my risk tolerance was and what my investing style is. I gravitated towards the small caps due to the higher returns (but also higher risks). I read as much as I can. There's a lot of trash advice out there and it takes awhile to distinguish the good from the bad. I'm doing the FMVA course through CFI and this has helped. Podcasts - Three Wise Monkeys, The Australian Investors podcast, Shares for Beginners and Equity Mates (as good as Equity Mates are they can sometimes be a bit average at explaining things). A few books I was recommended were - One Up on Wall Street - Peter Lynch, The Snowball, and The Intelligent Investor. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions let me know.
