agree 2022 may indeed prove to be a bad year for crypto. My aim is to exit in October but ruling in November (I think) regarding SEC approval for crypto ETFs approval may change the landscape fundamentally. 
it still requires a degree of competence and perseverance to set up a trading account to trade crypto that acts as a barrier to entry for most punters. If this is removed by allowing crypto ETFs quoted on exchanges then another significant and sustained  rise is entirely possible.
