#PureSpeculation

What we saw today in my opinion was three main types of investor selling off the majority of the stock sold today due to the announcement. These three types of investor were:

  1. The Short-Term Investor - those who owned shares in Venture who were waiting for them to begin the regular shipments of Iron Ore to China. This is a longer term hold now if they are to see considerable profits and therefore Venture is not the short term play originally thought.
  2. The Investor that Bought in Cheap - those who bought VMS at very low prices and now have decided to cash out, still in the green, and use the profits elsewhere.
  3. The Easily Put-Off Investor - those who are emotionally driven and saw this as an opportunity to 'get out before things get worse;' or those who 'would rather take the chance elsewhere'.

Obviously there would have been others selling off some or all of their stock for different reasons. For myself, and I am sure some of the others who held onto the stock, or decided to buy at these levels, I see this as a timing issue mainly. Venture needing to make a proper evaluation of where they can cut some costs in the business to mitigate some of the market forces working against them (including iron ore prices dropping, China not buying as much now) is a good move in my opinion and I think its always good to do these things earlier rather than later. The board has been honest about their intentions and I have every faith they know what they are doing. This is really only a set-back for the iron ore part of what they do, and the recent Tin discoveries are extremely promising, with tin prices high and it's use in electronics that area may even turn out to be more profitable than the iron ore discovery.

Well that is the first ship booked for VMS, my cash cow has started

" Following completion of plant commissioning and achieving steady state production at the Riley
Mine, Venture has booked the Company’s first iron ore shipment for early September:
• Bulk carrier vessel with a capacity of 46,000 tonnes (Ultramax Size) (Refer Figure 1) chartered
from a major international shipping operator;
• Off-take partner, Prosperity Steel United Singapore Pte Ltd (“Prosperity Steel” or “PSU”),
one of the largest iron ore traders in the world (Refer to ASX announcement 02 May 2019), to
designate discharge port in China;
With steady state production now being achieved, the mine will produce sufficient ore for
continuous haulage from the Riley Iron Ore Mine to the Port of Burnie (Refer Figures 2,3 & 4);
Iron Ore production from the Plant commissioning phase, plus current steady state production,
has afforded Venture the opportunity to immediately charter the first bulk carrier vessel for arrival
on the week commencing 6 September 2021 at the Port of Burnie. "

It's now not my biggest holding with the price slip, that is back to MRQ as they have also risen and start to get noticed, but I have high hopes for VMS, I've been waiting for the 1st shipment for a while, I got in first at 3.4 then loaded up at 3.1/3.2 (in real life) on strawman it was later, but here it holds I think 40% of my portfolio

I'm not in it for the iron ore, I'm in it for the tin, it's been predicted but the price of tin has been sky rocketing recently more so than predicted. The iron ore will fund VMS to become a self funded explorer, which is huge in my view.

I personally wouldn't be surprised if this 10 bags within a few years, I can see a doubling from the current SP within just over a month, ie the first shipment of ore

all just my opinion

Has anyone heard whether Venture Minerals has had the stock that was stuck at the docks delivered or whether there is any update?
