Had this weird thing come up today. Stake wouldn't let me place an order between the spread because it was more than 3 deviations from the last sale. It did though then let me sell $3 worth of shares (cop an extra $3 of brokerage) then place the bid where I wanted it. Quite annoying and weird.

Have held my US shares through Stake, since its launch. Alot lower costs vs purchasing through my commsec account.
Have just filled out the documents to transfer my asx holdings from commsec to Stake.
Zero admin fee's, zero transfer feeds, $3 fixed fee trades & individual HIN.
Negative being that commsec is a much better platform & more reliable (stake has gone down a few times during trading session).
Anyone else in the same boat? pro's/con's i haven't considered?
I don't trade much at all so fee's are not really a killer. Still $3 vs $30 per trade (over 10k) is somewhat of a no brainer to me. Add to this my disdain for the big banks and lack of ethics. I'm quite content to move my funds away and sever ties.
