On my initial observations, I echo your thoughts.

I can't really wrap my head around why retail investors have been mugged off so hard? -- A 1-for-10 rights offer at a such a steep discount is poor from management.

On the back of this, I will be also exercising my right as an owner of this business to complain about the treatment of retail shareholders.

This is purely free money for some investment bank at the expense of the little guys.
