For 2 minutes last week AMX sold at 20.5c. This was a MCAP/FCF multiple of 8.4. Rounded down, this satisfies my framework of MCAP/FCF<=8. Unfortunately I did not buy. This is because I was not prepared with a limit order to buy when it dropped into this range. I wanted to see it get to precisely 8 or less.
As such, I have learnt that if I’d gone for ROUGHLY 8, so a limit order on anything that could have been rounded down to 8, I would have picked up some shares.
Interesting to see this common phrase in business ownership circles playing out in my own life in front of me.
