@Strawman, I was chatting a few weeks ago with @Karmast and we discussed how we are probably due a Brisbane gathering for those in SE QLD.

I am coming to the end of my European travels and will be back in Brisy next week, so happy to be point man again for that, unless anyone else has a burning passion to do it.

I've throughly enjoyed taking over a month away from equities and markets, and do recommend getting away from it all. (Of course, I did have the one lapse for the recent "Nightmare on Hyper-Hidrosis Street", but apart form that, it's been 4+ weeks of catching up with northern hemisphere family, friends and former colleagues, deeping my "knowledge" of wines from the Veneto and Lombardy regions** (see footnote), and indulging my interest in history by visiting various sites - ancient and less ancient. Last night, I returned to a pub just outside Cambridge for the first time in 33 years. Didn't seem to have changed a bit! The slight downside is that as the holiday progressed, I exercised less and ate more and more Italian food and wine, so a different kind of rehabilitation is now required on my return.)

All recharged now to fire up my work ahead of the next results season! And of course, no doubt, a lot of good content to catch up on from this Community over the last month. E.g., particularly keen to catch up on all the content and views on $AIM - as one example.

Also, depending on when the Sydney event is, I might put in a showing there too!

** For any StrawOenophiles, my discovery of this trip has been the Valpollicella "Ripasso" style (sometimes called "Ripassa"). I like Amarone, but find it sometimes a bit too heavy/intense. The "Ripasso" style - in my layman's view - lies between the Valpollicella Classico and Amarone, because the fresh valpollicella wine is contacted with the dried skins that have been used in making Amarone ("repassed"), and so that gives more depth and flavour to the valpollica wine, which I find too "thin" normally.

Ok, great! I'll put some dates together and send around something in this weekends email. Will be great to get together again in person.

I'd be interested if there's something happening in SE Qld, particularly the Sunshine Coast (although Brissie is ok as well). Would have to be after I get back end of August from swimming with the humpback whales in Tonga though.
