I’ve been exploring ways to use AI tools, such as ChattGPT, to improve how I work. One useful thing I’ve come across is Dejargonizer.

Last month OpenAI added the ability to create and share ‘custom GPTs’. These are basically ChatGPT configured with custom prompts to handle specific tasks. You need to be a paid subscriber of ChatGPT Plus to use them.

Dejargonizer is a custom GPT by software researcher and developer Simon Willison. All it does is take the text you paste in and explain any technical terms in simpler language. 

I tried it with the Neuren Pharmaceutical announcement released this morning and it gave pretty good results:
