Curious on Uranium and would like to know more; VMY is a good start but would like to know thoughts on Deep Yellow (ASX: DYL), is it ideal to hedge my bets (excuse my pun) on both or just hold for the market movment?

I did that very thing early last year, buying into 4 Uranium companies to position for a Uranium run. I bought shares in VMY, DYL, PDN & PEN: Peninsula Energy - which is currently the only company operating in the US that is authorised to use their low pH in-situ recovery method that could improve the operating performance of its Lance Projects in Wyoming. Made good money on PEN (sold at a good profit), but DYL and PDN both headed SE for all of 2019, and I dumped both of them at a loss. VMY traded sideways for most of the year, but finished lower, and have done the same again so far this year, sideways-to-down. I traded in and out of VMY and made money most of the time, but not much. I understand the hedging idea, hopefully one of the two does well, or both do, but I spread my bets too thinly last year, and only made money on 2 out of 4, and probably ended up close to break-even in the end. Perhaps, buying two would work better, but buy the right two. I prefer DYL to PDN, and I prefer VMY to both of them. I've lost interest in PEN. I think holding DYL and VMY for a uranium price recovery could work out pretty well, but you have to be patient. Clearly, based on last year, I wasn't patient enough. If you listen to Mike Young (from VMY), uranium is always set to take off iminently, yet it is still below the cost of production for many mines and projects. Obviously the situation is not sustainable. Nuclear Reactors all over the world are NOT just going to all be shut down and decommissioned in one or two years' time. There will be demand, but supply is not reliable at these prices, so something will have to give. There is sound logic behind the idea of a uranium price recovery, but it is taking longer than most people would have expected I think.
