This is one I've held for years. When I first looked at it the book value of the assets were greater than the market cap. The thesis wss the share price would grown into the valuation or there would be divestments which would return cash. In the interim, the share price was reasonably stable and paid a fully franked dividend.

The share price then proceeded to more than halve. I held on for no other reason than to teach me a lesson about a stupid thesis.

In the last 12 months though it has come back, up over 100% meaning my original investment is square, plus I've receive those aforementioned dividends.

Not sure this is a lesson about investing for the long term or if it's about puttimg in more thought. Choose your own ending, but either way, expect that I'll be out of this one soon.
