#Uplift To Guidance

A very pleasant surprise after market close, with Mayfield announcing an underlying CY22 EBITDA forecast to be within the range of $12M - $12.5M representing a significant uplift on CY21 EBITDA of $7M and a step change in growth on prior years.

This increase in forecast revolves around the integration of Genius Education centres into Mayfield, and an improvement in the occupancy rate, from 66% to 74.5%, amongst other things.

This announcement should result in a significant increase in share price in coming days.

The relationship between Mayfield and Genius appears to have overcome some previous issues, and there is every likelihood that further opportunities will arise for Mayfield, thus supporting future growth from additional childcare centres.

#Q1 2022 Update

Mayfield (MFD) has provided an indication of how its recent acquisition of Genius Learning Centres will impact on future earnings and EBITDA with an Update to its first quarter 2022 trading results:

"Mayfield Childcare Limited (ASX:MFD) is pleased to provide a trading update for Q1 CY 2022. Underlying revenue for the consolidated Mayfield Group, including the 14 Genius Learning centres acquired in CY 2021, was $15.4m (up 92.9%).

Allowing for $0.6m in COVID-19 subsidies received in 1Q CY 2021, total revenue for the Group was up 79.5%. delivering Group EBITDA of $2.3m (up 58.8%) ".

That result was impacted by some operational challenges related to minor and temporary covid shutdowns, particularly in Queensland.

Going forward the company anticipates that there will likely be additional acquisitions through the Genius arrangement in the third quarter, ensuring top line and bottom line growth in following quarters.

A very good result, which should ensure a positive impact on share price (and ultimately dividend returns).
