@thamno The initial hype has gone out of PLY so may be a buying opportunity. They are in a segment that large sums of money are being spent. Gerry Sakkas seems to be switched on, and is in a space that will have a product that society will get hooked on. I hold for the long term.

How much is Meta spending on VR?

The concession followed an earnings report that showed first-quarter spending on Reality Labs—Meta's augmented and virtual reality division—totaled $3.7 billion on only $700 million in revenue. The resulting operating loss put Reality Labs on track to lose $12 billion in 2022, up from $10.2 billion in 2021.28 Apr 2022

@thamno

PLY is like the picks and shovels to this new emerging industry. They also have a second string to their bow by developing their own games. Peter Lynch in his book One Up on Wall Street said "some of the best investment come from what is around you everyday".As soon as a child can hold something it is a device of some sort. Most adults have buds in their ears as well as looking at a device at every opportunity, Society is addicted to external stimulation and entertainment. AR, VR, metaverse will be the new fix. PLY is one stock I am going overweight in, along with FMG for their exposure to Green Hydrogen. That's it, I have probably put the moccas on both of these companies now !

The following is from an article on ShareCafe this morning. The link to the full article also.

Software and apps will probably develop in parallel to hardware and headsets as products are adopted by a broader market. The companies delivering these will perhaps be best placed to take advantage of the metaverse (apps and platforms typically have higher margins than commoditised technology hardware) with advertisers sure to follow. Gaming platforms that have already expanded into the metaverse should begin to see a bigger financial impact as the spending power of their younger audience rises.

Not just about gaming, the Metaverse and Blockchain are huge growth areas. CR $ 28 Million, $25 Million placement, only $3 Million for the SPP. I just think companies are getting really stingy to loyal existing investors.
