Graphite Concentrate Purities of up to 97.5% TC from Large Scale Pilot Improved Graphite Concentrate purities offer increased efficiencies in downstream Purified Spherical Graphite production

Highlights:

• Large scale pilot trials at an independent commercial graphite production facility have produced bulk quantities of high purity Graphite Concentrates from ore samples from Renascor’s Siviour Graphite Deposit in South Australia.

• The +60 tonne bulk pilot trial is being undertaken to produce large scale samples of Siviour Graphite Concentrates and to test adjustments to the flotation circuit to optimise the production of high purity Graphite Concentrates in the upstream component of Renascor’s planned vertically integrated graphite mine and battery anode material manufacturing operation in South Australia.

• The on-going pilot trials have achieved graphite purities of up to 97.5% total carbon (“TC”) with graphite recovery of 93.2% by adjusting regrind times in the flotation circuit. This compares favourably to Renascor’s previous results from locked cycle tests, which achieved purities of 94.6% TC with graphite recovery of 94.5%1 .

• The increased purity of Siviour Graphite Concentrates, which Renascor plans to use as feedstock in a downstream manufacturing facility to produce Purified Spherical Graphite (“PSG”), offers the potential for increased economic efficiencies in the downstream production of PSG, as less reagents and energy would be required in the downstream purification stage to achieve lithium-ion battery grade purities of +99.95% TC.

• Renascor intends to leverage off the comparatively low OPEX of the planed Siviour Graphite Concentrate operation2 by co-locating a downstream advanced manufacturing facility in Australia to produce low-cost, high-quality, 100% Australian-made PSG with leading ESG3 credentials in the first integrated in-country mine and battery anode material operation outside of China.

• Renascor plans to use the results from the pilot trials to optimise the Graphite Concentrate operation. Graphite Concentrates produced from the pilot will also be used for downstream equipment selection trials and large-scale customer sample testing to support the progression to binding offtake agreements.

Renascor’s HF-Free Technology Achieves 99.99% Purity Results Further Validate Renascor’s Eco-Friendly Purification Process and Leading ESG Credentials Highlights:

• Advanced mineral processing trials of Renascor’s eco-friendly purification process undertaken by leading German independent battery mineral consultancy group Dorfner ANZAPLAN have achieved results of 99.99% Carbon (C) (versus anode industry standard of 99.95% C).

• The current trials, which are being conducted to optimise the purification circuit prior to detailed engineering design for construction of Renascor’s planned Purified Spherical Graphite (“PSG”) manufacturing facility in South Australia, have achieved the highest purity levels to date1 and have also confirmed that Renascor’s purification process can achieve purity that meets or exceeds lithium-ion battery anode specifications.

• Renascor’s purification technique avoids the use of hydrofluoric acid (HF) and instead uses an environmentally friendly and cost-effective method for purification of Renascor’s Siviour natural flake graphite for use in lithium-ion battery anodes.

• Renascor’s HF-free purification process has already been used to produce PSG that meets anode industry quality specifications, including having achieved first stage qualification with two worldclass anode company offtakers that account for up to two-thirds of Renascor’s stage one production2 . Additional purification trials with other potential offtakers are currently underway.

• Renascor intends to use its purification technology to create a competitive advantage in the production of high-quality, 100% Australian-made PSG with leading ESG3 credentials in the first integrated in-country mine and battery anode material operation outside of China. • The results of the current purification trials will be used for detailed engineering design for construction of Renascor’s planned manufacturing facility in South Australia, as well as to support on-going offtake and finance discussions.

Ann: Drilling to Commence on Shallow Gold Targets at Soyuz

A reverse circulation drill program of up to 2,000m will commence this week on shallow primary gold targets at Renascor’s Soyuz prospect in South Australia’s Central Gawler Craton.

• Previous drilling at Soyuz (see Figure 1 and Renascor ASX announcement dated 4 August 2020) has intersected shallow gold, with results including: o 7m @ 5.14g/t Au from 26m to end of hole, including 2m @ 16.42 g/t Au from 30m; 1 and o 6m @ 4.94g/t Au from 14m. 2

• The drill program will include testing for high-grade extensions at shallow depth and along-strike from the previous high-grade intersections at Soyuz.

• Drilling will also target potential sulphide-bearing mineralisation approximately 500m along strike of previous Soyuz drilling, where a recent induced polarisation (IP) survey and soil sampling program have identified coincident chargeability and geochemical anomalies at the southern boundary of the north-south orientated Soyuz magnetic high.

• Renascor has received all necessary approvals and a drill rig has been mobilised to site. The drill program is expected to be completed within approximately two weeks.
