I'm enjoying the podcast series Scam Inc by The Economist. Eye-opening how well-oiled and sophisticated some of these businesses are. Modern slavery. "Pig butchering". And of course throw in a lot of crypto.

The first 3 episodes are free. There's a lot of value in just these 3. The rest of the 8-part series requires a subscription either to their Podcasts+ ($50 for first year) or their full magazine.

@DrPete - isnt it good? The modern slavery aspect morphs somewhat as you progress through the series; becoming more of a highly fractionalised, subspecialised, modular work for hire model. A real Hydra.

Thanks for the heads up I shall try giving it a go. I have come across some interesting youtube docos lately on these topics, interesting but also sad, and scary how powerful some of these organizers are getting!
