Forum Topics Anchoring Bias

Andrew Page on The Call from Ausbiz Podcast - July 29th episode discussed anchoring bias in relation to TPW.

I found it quite useful as this is something I am definitely guilty of. For those who don't know:

"Anchoring or focalism is a cognitive bias where an individual depends too heavily on an initial piece of information offered to make subsequent judgments during decision making. Once the value of this anchor is set, all future negotiations, arguments, estimates, etc. are discussed in relation to the anchor."

As an example, looking at a current share price and thinking it is expensive because it was a 1/4 of that not too long ago. What matters is what is it worth today.

Also, bonus points to Andrew for the quote "gross margin dripping like beautiful hot butter, straight to the bottom line"
