So, RaaS (Research as a Services) Advisory gets paid by vendor companies to prepare reports on the vendor companies.  

it makes me nervous when companies I hold pay analysts to preapre analyst reports on their businesses.  If they are so great, why do they need to pay someone to say it so?  I would prefer resoucrrs are allocated to building the underlying business than paying for puff pieces.   

If anyone has any positive opinions on why this is a good idea, I would like to hear from you.  Because all I see is red flags.
