Another one is TIKR Financial (just google it) which is free sign up and use at the moment, you can actually see the S&P Global CapitalIQ forecasts for a few line items like Revenue, EPS, DPS etc. It won't give you the actual broker forecasts - agree a number of brokers and Market Index can give you that. It has a host of other information too - it's like the retail cut down version of S&P Capital IQ.

If you do need a referral to sign up here is mine - https://app.tikr.com/register?ref=dvc861  - not sure oyu do though, I didn't.

You can have a look at this as well which gives you an idea of - strong buys, sells and buys -- along with how many brokers have recommended these calls: ( it's FREE)

Commsec is pretty good, it gives you a high level on most shares covered. Get an FNArena membership if you want to get them in detail, they put out all the broker calls (FNArena is totally worth the money imho).

Agree, I like the FNArena broker updates. Plus you can search by company and see the latest broker views. They include a brief summary of the broker note, which usually describes the basis for price and rating changes. Finally, they do deeper dive research notes on companies in the news, which tends to also extract key information from broker notes. Note that not all brokers are covered.

I also subscribe to www.MarketScreener.com which has a good consensus tool, which allows you to graphically view broker targets ( low, mean, high) over time. This also has a good financials summary. There is a screener tool which allows you a screen all stocks based on a large number of configurable criteria.

Im hoping someone could redirect me to a previous straw/forum post regarding discussions on broker opinions and what users use for information. I found it quite useful at the time but am having real trouble trying to find it again using search. I even backtracked through alot of bears straws as i remember he commented but still no luck! If anyone could help out that would be great.

If you go to the company reports to the ASX for the previous 6 months,  ( easily found on Commsec) you can read what each compny has to say about their recent performance. t

Then think yourself if the company is doing well just now, or if another company has more appeal. You have to invest in what you know and understand. If you do not understand what the comapny does, or if it can not tell you easily in the quarterly reports, then that company is not for you.
