Essentially, inflows into a fund cause forced buying, which drives up the price of those equities (sometimes significantly), and can actually be a significant driver of performance in a fund.

This, however, could at some point reverse on the sell side! Selling could drive down the prices of those equities, leading to more forced selling. Seems like something to be wary about, or prepared to take advantage of.
