Hi @slymeat

Valuations with more upvotes are weighted more heavily than those with less. I suspect this is why the outlier $40 valuation for BRN is having little impact on the overall.

Is there any ageing built into consensus valuations? Eg, do votes or valuations 2 years ago count the same as todays votes and valuations? If not, should there be such an adjustment perhaps?

Good question @DrPete123

Valuations (and Straws), and also the associated votes, become 'stale' after 6 months. Which means they no longer impact the consensus valuation.

However if you edit or reactivate a valuation, that will reset the timer and the votes.

That way we try and keep things relatively fresh.

@CanadianAussie is right in that the consensus valuation is weighted according to votes.
