I held both RRL and MLD (MACA) shares at the time, and I still hold RRL in my SMSF, but not MLD as they were acquired in October 2022 by Theiss - see here: M&A: MACA to delist from ASX as Thiess takes control (afr.com) [12-Oct-2022] Both companies' share prices recovered from the flooding back in 2014, however RRL's SP did decline in later years after the Tropicana transaction and their disastrous hedgebook debacle. RRL have recently closed out all of those hedges and are currently unhedged which is a positive at this point in the gold cycle.
CMM will likewise recover from this. It's temporary, not structural.
