Thanks @Strawman . JAN has been one of those companies with a world-class platform - the Digital Assessments platform is quite something. But the sad reality is that it really has not been able to capitalise on the promise of that platform to grow more decisively and steadily. Maybe the education sector is not quite as ready for that technology - they have been touting the US$27b Digital Assessments TAM for many years now, but other than the last NSW Selective Entrance Exam, not much seems to have happened to make any dents in it, never mind serious ...
The "JA Platform" doesn't create much excitement as it seems to move JAN more into the services business, as you say, ie. how can I create and run exams more efficiently, rather than a technology business, which is how it was positioned years ago.
Sujata's entry had a little bit of a bang to it initially, but a year in, nothing much seems to have changed and there just isn't the promise that it will either. Question is whether this is a sector thing, rather than leadership.
