Today's site tour of EMVision was really interesting. Aside from seeing the device and prototypes first hand, we had the opportunity to chat with their Chief Scientist, CEO and other key management personal.

Some takeaways:

• First sales expected FY24
• Well funded, with grant money extending the runway. Management seemed sensitive to the dilution risk.
• There's competing offerings in development, but either at an earlier stage or lacking the portability that EMVision are boasting
• Components manufactured by third parties and assembled by EMVision locally. A variety of suppliers to minimise counterparty risks

I've had to postpone the EMVision site tour tomorrow. I've emailed those who RSVP's directly, but in case i've missed anyone I wanted to mention it here.

EMvision (ASX:EMV) have extended an invitation to Strawman members to do a site tour and check out their brain scanner device.

They are located on Epping Rd at Macquarie Park, and have suggested Tuesday the 15th March at 10am.

If you're unfamiliar with the business, i'd encourage you to watch the meeting we had with co-founder and Executive Director Scott Kirkland in January (go to Meetings page). It's still an early stage company that is yet to commercialise, so certainly has a lot of risks, but a site tour may be a good chance to better understand the technology and opportunity.
