Can't really say for sure. But looking at the management bio it seems plausible
Also the whole IP protection is a bit of a grey area when you go from one company to another and design and implement a similar solution using similar code from your head (assuming the ideal scenario where no tech was taken when leaving the company).
Also need to do a bit of digging on patents here too.
