From what I can understand (and no-one in the company seems to be very forthcoming on this matter) MAF's "rise to greatness" was almost wholly down to the Special Investment Visa. In other words this was milking mainly rich Chinese as they paid for Australian citizenship under the cloak of investment. Quite rightly the government has now put the sword to this.
