Alterra are breaking ground on a new avocado property near Manjimup/Pemberton in WA...if it is completed at the proposed scale it will be the largest single avocado project in the state at over 300Ha.

The COO is ex another large operator (Jasper Farms) in that world and knows what he is about and is incentivised to make the project a success.

The property is spectacular and they are currently constructing a 3GL dam that can be enlarged to 11GL.

The irrigation being selected is best in field equipment...water efficient, low energy and low maintenance.

The company is only really involved in this one project currently, but it is a large one.

It is risky but also probably represents good value currently....avocado pricing has been down over the last 12 months.

Not currently owned in RL....watching.
