Financially the Company is in a very strong position. In March this year the Company successfully completed a Placement for $5.5 million at an issue price of $0.036 cents per share
Write speed: 9.5 nanoseconds. (very, very fast)
So 1 milliseconds (ms) is equal to 1000000 nanoseconds (ns).
The Company again advises that the upper limit of endurance is unknown because the Company has a finite capacity due to equipment and manpower to test the upper limit in this additional analysis period. Further analysis will be done over time as previously advised. The read/write speed and endurance parameters are critical to the Company’s goals in the memory space requiring DRAM-like performance. 4DS’ ReRAM performance profile to suitably meet this goal has again been clearly demonstrated on the Fourth Platform Lot via the additional testing. The Company is also pleased to advise that Mr David McAuliffe has moved to Executive Chairman. Executive Chairman Mr David McAuliffe stated “These additional megabit array results are a significant milestone for the Company. Moving forward we will continue to undertake further analysis to test the upper limits of endurance and read/write characteristics for the purpose of further enhancements to the Platform. With significant results and a strong balance sheet the Company is extremely well placed to position itself in the memory space that targets a technology that can be closer to DRAM.”

NextDC and Megaport could benefit from accelerated data centre spend: Citi (marketindex.com.au)
Then:
I sold out of 4DS some time ago at a significant loss due to the 3rd platform lot having issues and not being convinced that the company had the cash to get through the 4th lot successfully. However today they announced a successful test series and the SP is up over 100% at its peak. Now playing in the same area as Weebit. Now they need to commercialise it. Good luck to those who held.
Successfully incorporated its ReRAM memory cells into the imec megabit array
Validated that 4DS Interface Switching ReRAM technology is transferable from fab to fab
Demonstrated a fully functional megabit array with 4DS Interface Switching ReRAM memory cells
Demonstrated consistent read and write speeds equivalent to DRAM
Proven endurance in excess of 2 billion cycles at DRAM read and write speed on a megabit array
Demonstrated persistent memory with variable and tuneable retention.
Chairman has left.... with no explanation. Concerning given he was so confident/engaged at the AGM. Even mentioned he didn't need to be there at his age but interesting problem to solve. What has changed in 2 months?
Continually disappointing news.
I attended the AGM last week - gave me a bit more confidence that there is still a plan/not all is lost. Will continue to hold
2 things required to get product ready for sale > demonstrate that you can write to the cell, and demonstrate how often you can write to the cell i.e. 10^17. Both of these will be demonstrated in the next platform round. Assuming success, the product will then be taken to potential acquirers. At the same time, they will likely start a 5th Platform lot to address any "functionality" that they haven't got data for but an acquirer might ask for.
You only get 1 shot with these people. 5 key players including Micron, Samsung, Hynix. They wont talk to you without a megabit array supported with extensive data. Fab would cost $5-$10bn to build so only large players would be interested. Ken Hurley will also then come back.
Likely 1 more raise in 2023 to fund platform 5. Another 12months of work
What went wrong: The cell is sufficiently complex that need circuitry to test if it works. Cannot see this visually, can only be seen by measuring the final product. Imec measures if its electrically active, which it was. The issue was it wouldn't move from a zero state to 1. Imec didn't think this was possible, very unusual error. But now have a new etch process, 2 other options as well. Testing them all thoroughly before starting the next platform lot
2023 IMEC COLLABORATION UPDATE
4DS Memory Limited (ASX:4DS) has provided an update on the 2023 imec collaboration extension and the planned manufacturing of the Fourth Platform Lot wafers.
4DS and imec have now finalised the terms of the 2023 collaboration extension which will now run to mid-2023.
4DS and imec have agreed to additional collaboration activities to be undertaken during the rest of 2022 and first half of 2023.
The consideration for all collaboration activities is 903k Euro. imec manufacture of Fourth Platform Lot Process optimization and short loop analysis with take place over the balance of 2022 and the first few months of 2023.
Manufacturing of the Fourth Platform Lot will commence during Q1 2023 with the delivery to 4DS expected at the end of Q2 2023.
4DS remains a highly speculative investment which is seen as a binary investment outcome of total success or failure. Long-term holders such as myself have seen the share price fluctuate between 2 cents and 25 cents during the last 5 years. A strong argument can be made for selling large portions of your holding and buying back in to take advantage of the market moods on this company.
Communication with shareholders has been a sore point for many during its listing on the ASX. Particularly about performance metrics of tested platform lots that the company believes need to be kept confidential.
Still holding as a small proportion of my portfolio here on SM and in IRL.
Wow. Well yep, that was market sensitive. 65% down for the day at time of writing.
So, for whatever technical reasons beyond my comprehension, their memory product doesn't work (as they expected) in a way which would be suitable for commercial application at least.
They will be looking into this, and the guy who was supposed to help with commercialisation will be stepping aside for now to renegotiate a position when 4DS is further ahead...presumably in a few years now.
Several executives and all board members will be deferring fees for the next few months and my guess is there will be a cap raise after that period once they have a plan in place.
Ouch.

Good luck holders... after the last few trading halts lets hope this one is the news we have all been waiting for... the thing works!
Good to see a company encouraging shareholder interaction with their investor hub. Third platform lot arriving in California for testing with announcements to follow.
4C As of 30 June 2022, the Company held cash of $5.234 million, compared to $5.583 million as of 31 March 2022. Net cash of $1.391 million was used in operating activities during the quarter, compared to $1.636 million in the March quarter. $1.3M options exercised by directors
The Company has now launched an interactive Investor Hub. If you have any questions on this announcement or any past 4DS announcements, check out our Interactive Announcements. Like, comment, ask a question and view video summaries on important announcements.
Guido Arnout (non-executive director and advisor to CEO) has been active on the market. Exercising $168k of options ($0.042) and by the looks of it using his almost immediate doubling (market price of $0.081 at time of writing) to buy up another $200k of share on market.
Forgive me if I misread the announcement but that's my understanding of it. Still learning.
Not bad news at all! Especially having averaged down my entry cost over the last few weeks into someone else's tax-loss selling.
Bigger cash outflow and new test sysytem still in progress. Third Platform Lot wafers estimated to come out-of-fab in July 2022. SP has recovered to half of 52W high from all time lows.
As of 31 March 2022 the Company held cash of $5.583 million, compared to $7.260 million as of 31 December 2021. Net cash of $1.636 million was used in operating activities during the quarter, compared to $1.095 million in the December quarter. The main variances when compared to the previous quarter were two payments made to imec (compared to one in the previous quarter) and the removal of a pay freeze and or reduction of employees’ salaries from the previous quarter, as well as the investment in a new commercial test system.
During the quarter the Company has acquired or has on order all the components necessary to build the new test system.
No news. 1.1M cash burn. Up from CR of 4.8c but a long way from highs.
In what seems like an enless sea of RED's across the bulk of the ASX I cant help but watch in awe of 4Ds with its consistant returns month after month.
Todays news of the extention of its colab with imec ( link below ) in its field of nanoelectronics and digital technologies goes glove in hand with 4DS's directives. I hope to see great things as i have in the past year come from 4DS.
