ACL have recently opened up a molecular lab at Murarrie in QLD only for COVID-19 testing for pre overseas travel along with a metro home testing service. 

Certainly a cost efficent grab for highly lucrative medicare PCR testing payments.

ACL have also flagged the building of purpose built lab in Brisbane for use in relation to clinical trials, I highly doubt they will attempt to reestablish themselves with a general pathology lab in QLD, (The previous lab was sold in 2016 by then owners Healthscope to Healius).
