Cool to see a second product design announced that leverages Fraunhofer's sodium alumina battery tech (see this forum thread for a bit of additional colour and some links).
In a nut shell: a stackable, weather-proof shipping container design with no moving parts or need for thermal control (i.e. silent and deployable in any environment) that houses 1MWh of CERENERGY battery storage rated at 600VDC and 100Ah with an expected minimum 15 year lifespan.
Nice.
However, I can't fit one in my garage, so Altech please hurry the hell up and release the home battery version (unless a few Melbourne-based Strawfolk want to band together and split a GridPack or ABS60 unit?).
