Jayride operate in a relatively small niche outside of the current purview of non-airport share ride platforms (Uber, Lyft etc). But these larger players could easily move into that same space and outspend and out-develop them -- if they chose to.

Private airport transfer companies could easily plug into a new app, and will go with whoever has the best audience and lowest costs.

Also, most people do not frequently travel by air, especially not internationally, so repeat usage -- or habit forming useage -- is harder to develop. I may have a great experience using Jayride, but then not go overseas for a few years, for example. As such, earning and sustaining a high Google ranking for key search terms (eg airport transfer) is critical.

Jayride are an aggregator of airport transfer services. That is, through their platform, you can reveiw and book airport transfer providers.

It now has over 3000 transport companies on the platform and has had 21 consecutive quarters of growth. Revenue was up 81% in the most recent quarter compared to the previous corresponding period.

At this stage, the business is loss making and will likely need to raise cash in the near future, but the company expects to hit breakeven in the next few years. The current cost base is expected to be able to sustain a four-fold increase in revenues. Half of expenditure is on growth initiatives.

The business is fast expanding into new geographies, achieving around 4 new countries per month.

Revenues are approx 20-25% of TTV (total transaction volume). Around half of trips are booked through channel partners (such as Flight Centre).

Co-founder Rodney Bishop owns ~14% of outstanding shares.

The business is still early stage, and liquidity is low, but it has a big market opportunity and good traction. Importantly, it provides a genuine value proposition to travellers offering a seemless travel experience.
