Found a useful article on graphite flake sizes

https://investingnews.com/daily/resource-investing/battery-metals-investing/graphite-investing/types-of-graphite-amorphous-flake-and-vein/

  • Jumbo flake: +35 mesh or +500 microns
  • Large flake: -35 mesh by 50 mesh or -300 microns by 500 microns
  • Medium flake: -50 mesh by 80 mesh or -150 microns by 300 microns
  • Fine flake: -80 mesh and finer

Speaking to the Investing News Network (INN), Riddle said that when those in the graphite space refer to “good” flake size, they’re usually referring to “a graphite deposit or graphite mine (that) is projected to have a high percentage of its total graphite concentrate with flakes greater than 80 mesh — and preferably including some +50 mesh and even possibly some +35 mesh.”

Going back on the photos of the samples from past presentations, it appears some flake sizes might be too small and perhaps might be part of the reason for the selling. Met work and resource estimate in March 2024 could also be too long for some.

Bit out of my depth on KNG and the timelines seem too long if I use RNU metwork timeline as a comparison so I've exited on the rally as a precaution..But will still keep on the watchlist.

Bit of a relief as a holder after these results were released from trading halt. 206m @ 10% graphite from surface

Learning a big lesson not to buy anything where supply is governed by one country and when pricing is not transparent (ie: you need to pay subscription from a commodity trader to get pricing). Only small holding so far.

Before you ask, Capital IQ Pro does not provide pricing or even much news on graphite.

Next catalyst will be the metallurgy study that will provide some information whether the graphite is battery grade

Apologies left out the video from RRS.

Note the project isn't a resource but an exploration target even though he quotes a size of 250mt

Make it what you will - he definitely has the gift of the gab. But obviously speculative as they had this since February and only managed to get drilling approval before the presentation in May. Before they did some drilling of Uranium while they waited.

Kingsland Minerals caught my attention when I noticed the price breaking out recently and decided to get a starter. I wanted to write about this earlier but got distracted by other things here and not sure how this one will be received.

Their main game is the Leliyn Graphite Project in NT.

What I like:

* Port and rail infrastructure so no need to go by road (although it is 250k from Darwin).

* 20km strike length and 100m width, over 200m deep and outcropping at surface

* 200-250mt with TGC (Total Graphite content) 8-11%

* Lots of recent management buying

* And, more importantly, like Capricorn metals, the presentation looks like it was done on Powerpoint/Office 95!

Some question marks:

* Metallurgy. Not sure of the recovery/purity of the graphite which I've been told is key.

* Very early stage exploration. Might be fairly priced now. Time to get in was when the MD Richard Maddocks did the presentation which I thought was very clear and excellent.

Other:

* Some Uranium prospects Allamber and Shoobridge

* Gold and base metals Mt Davis, Woolngi and Lake Johnson.

Very speculative obviously so won't be for everyone.
