Murray River Organics is a producer, manufacturer, and marketer of organic, natural food products.
The company owns and operates 11 properties and over 9,000 acres across Sunraysia for agricultural production of dried vine, wine grapes, table grapes, and citrus. There are two certified organic processing facilities. Mourquong, New South Wales where dried fruit is graded, dehydrated, processed, packaged, and distributed to export and domestic customers.
Dandenong, Victoria facility, houses a processing centre with 7 processing lines operating across a range of packing capabilities able to bring fast-paced innovation to market.
The results at the end of last month showed:
- $22M asset sales announced during the year
- intention to sell the remaining dried vine fruit farms and retain ‘off take’, with MRG continuing to acquire the dried vine fruit off the farms but rely on the new owners to manage and grow
For the 200 or so staff, including seasonal workers, this is now not looking promising with the business indicating they will likely become insolvent and as such, they have appointed voluntary administrators.
It appears the business will be liquidated.
