I added to my IRL holdings today.

Not a strong thesis, but these were the reasons -

a.) We are close to the low of the range established for most of this year.

b.) Bitcoin has traditionally enjoyed strong seasonal tailwinds heading into October, right up to the first couple of quarters of the following calendar year.

Of course, the tailwinds from halving have not played out at all, so "this time could be different".

Out of curiosity do you know how bitcoin performed around the last US election?

I have no stake in Bitcoin atm (but thinking about it) and interested to see if you had any insights

From what I can see upon a cursory glance, Bitcoin was in a gentle uptrend in the lead up, and really took off after in the ensuing months, peaking around April 2021.

Of course, the halving events coincide with presidential election years, so it’s hard to attribute performance to either or both.
