Pinned straw:
Further to the $RUL straw this morning on the product launch at MINExpro 2024 last night, when I got back to my desk this afternoon (after several days largely unplugged in regional N.NSW) I wanted to understand why it wasn't announced via an ASX release. Of course, these guys tend to be pretty low key and not overly promotional in their ASX announcements, so it wasn't that surprising. And I'd much rather they are spending their efforts promoting the products to customers at MINExpro than to the ASX!
But looking back at the FY24 Results Presentation it was there, and referred to in the voiceover remarks that Richard Mathews made on the Title Page as follows:
"...... Pretty soon, we're going to integrate fleet optimization, our newest product into the product, and their integration with other products as well, will optimize the number of trucks with the loaders. So that will be a pretty expensive module for people to buy, but the returns are immediate because the last thing you want to do is have trucks parked up or too many trucks for certain loaders as well."
Hence, no need to announce again, as strictly speaking, the market already knew! (LOL)
It will be interesting to see what this broader "live" capability across AMT, XECUTE, and ShiftManager does in terms of increasing revenue per account as well as new sales. The integration across the products is making it increasingly attractive for clients to buy the whole product suite. You want the mine planners (working in AMT), the operational planners/schedulers working in XECUTE, and the supervisors working in ShiftManager to have a seamless flow of information - forwards and backwards. The $RUL press release makes clear reference to the importance of mines having realistic plans, and being able to adjust plans dynamically as things change.
While there's now quite a bit of success built into the SP, the operating leverage looks like it is there, and it will be interesting to see how the new "pretty expensive" module drives revenue growth. That said, I do need to take a look at my valuation. Something to come back to next week.

The clues in your post seem to shed some light,
On why the RUL share price took sudden flight.
I think this solves the puzzle we face,
But we can't be certain, in any case!
